Why is PropertyGuru enhancing my Agent Profile?

Based on a research conducted with property sellers and agents, an agent’s area of expertise and past sales transactions are key factors for sellers to consider when choosing the right agent to help them market and sell their properties. As such, PropertyGuru is enhancing your Agent Profile with an improved appearance and building in more features and information that would facilitate Agent Partners in marketing yourself more effectively to prospective buyers and sellers and generate more leads for your business.

As an Agent Partner, am I entitled to an Agent Profile?

This is available as a package entitlement to all Agent Partners, excluding those who are subscribed to the Lite package. More details on Agent Packages can be found here.

How do I update my Agent Profile?

In order for us to update your Agent Profile, we’ll need your assistance to complete this form with your latest sales data from 1 January 2020 onwards.

Your submitted sales data will be verified against MyPropertyData’s database of sold properties. If there is a direct match (not claimed by other property agents), then the sale of the property would be attributed to you and be updated on your Agent Profile.

How often will my sales data be updated?

Your sales data will be updated on a quarterly basis.

Ending in the month of June (on 30 June 2021), your oldest sales data will be replaced whenever newer sales data enters.

Starting from September 2021 onward, your sales data from the past 15 days will reflect and refresh on the 15th day of each month.

What is included within my enhanced Agent Profile?

Your enhanced Agent Profile comes with:

  • An improved look and feel

  • Summary of your Experience and Expertise

    • Name, Title, REN No.

    • Years of Experience

    • Years with PropertyGuru

    • No. of Properties Sold

    • No. of Active Listings

  • Shareable Social Media Profile Links

  • Where You Operate

    • Also displayed in a map view that allows property seekers to immediately focus on your Sale, Rental and Sold listings respectively

  • Introduction Video and Description about Yourself

  • Breakdown of Top Property Types Sold in the Last 12 Months

  • Enquiry Form and Direct Contact buttons for Phone and WhatsApp

How would my Agent Profile appear to property seekers?

Where can I view my Agent Profile?

You can view your Agent Profile on www.propertyguru.com.my. We will be making this available on the PropertyGuru Malaysia mobile application soon, so stay tuned!

Can I submit sales data for both residential and commercial properties?

Yes, as long as you have completed sales transactions for both residential and commercial properties, you may complete the form with the required information.

Are the sales data applicable for sale and rental properties?

Only sales transaction data will be displayed on your Agent Profile. Rental transaction data is not available on your Agent Profile.

What if I fail to provide any sales data?

To ensure you have a complete Agent Profile, we highly encourage you to submit your sales data from 1 January 2020 onwards here.

In the event that you’re unable to do so, your Agent Profile will not display the following information and that means you might potentially lose out on leads!

  • No. of Properties Sold

  • Where You Operate - your Sold listings will not be displayed

  • Breakdown of Top Property Types Sold in the Last 12 Months

I have accidentally submitted an erroneous or incomplete sales data. How can I amend it?

Any sales data that has already been submitted via the form cannot be amended. However, you may submit a new set of complete sales data that will replace the previous submission and we will take your most recent submission to be updated on your Agent Profile.

Alternatively, you may reach out to us at enquiries@propertyguru.com.my with the following information to have your sales data amended.

1. Transaction Date

2. Property Address

3. The state where the property is in

4. Transaction Price (RM)

5. To indicate if this is a co-broking transaction (Yes/No)

I have closed a new property sale, can I update my sales data?

You are encouraged to update your sales data via the form. For sales data submitted between 1st and 15th of the month, it will be updated on the last day of the month. For e.g. if you have submitted your sales data between 1-15 July 2021, it will be updated on your Agent Profile by 31 July 2021.

However if you have submitted your sales data between 16-31 July, it will only be updated on the following month by 31 August 2021.

I have closed a property sale through co-broking, can I submit this sales data too?

Yes, as long as you close a property sale, you’re allowed to submit the sales data via the form. Once your sales data has been successfully verified, the property sale will be attributed to you, and be updated on your Agent Profile.

Do I need to submit any evidence or proof of sales?

You are not required to submit any evidence or proof of sales as the sales data submitted will be verified against MyPropertyData’s database of sold properties. If additional verification is required, then we will reach out to you to obtain your proof of sales, e.g. Sale and Purchase Agreement.

Is there any penalty against property agents who falsify their sales data?

For first-time offenders

If an Agent Partner is found to be providing false sales data for the first time, PropertyGuru reserves the right to revoke the sales data on his/her Agent Profile. This means that the following information will not be displayed on his/her Agent Profile, and he/she could potentially lose out on leads.

  • No. of Properties Sold

  • Where You Operate - your Sold listings will not be displayed

  • Breakdown of Top Property Types Sold in the Last 12 Months

For repeated offenders

Any Agent Partner who has been found to violate the terms more than once will have his/her Agent Profile revoked. This means that his/her Agent Profile will no longer be visible to property seekers and he/she loses out on personal branding and potential leads.
